EOS Rebel T2i Distinguishing Features

Made to be the tool of choice for serious photographers and semi-professionals, the EOS Rebel T2i features an all-new 18 Megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 4 Image Processor, capturing tremendous images at up to ISO 12800 and speeds of up to 3.7 frames per second (fps). The EOS Rebel T2i also captures Full HD video at 30p (29.97 fps), 24p (23.976 fps) and 25p with an array of manual controls, including manual exposure during movie shooting and ISO speed selection.

Accessories for the EOS Rebel T2i

Memory cards.
8GB SDHC memory cards are probably the best deal right now. I have been using Sandisk Ultra II SD cards for years without a single problem. I recommend the Extreme III or Extreme IV because they are much faster than the Ultra II's.

If you're going to shoot movies, you'll want as much memory as you can get. Consider larger 16GB SDHC memory cards or 32 GB SDHC cards

Another good idea is to have at least one extra battery - this camera uses the Canon LP-E8 Battery Pack. If you want more power and the feel of a pro camera body, try the Canon BG-E8 Battery Grip.

The camera has a built-in flash, but for better results you might want to get a Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras.
