Canon 60D BEST DEALS
The Canon 60D Digital SLR camera was announced on August 25, 2010. It is the successor to the EOS 50D that became available in October, 2008. The new camera will be sold in a body-only configuration at a suggested retail price of $1,099.00, which is $300 less than it's predecessor's original suggested price! It will also be offered in a kit combined with an 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Standard Zoom lens at a suggested retail price of $1399.00.
Currently it is avaiable on pre-order from Amazon and possibly other retailers. When the EOS-7D was released last year, I personally know people who got their Amazon pre-orders filled on the day after the camera became available. In fact, I was able to "borrow" the 7D from a friend just a week after it's release. So in my opinion, getting in early on Amazon's pre-order list is the most likely wat to get your camera as soon as it becomes available.

Accessories for the EOS 60D
Unlike its predecessors that used Compact Flash (CF) memory cards, the new
Canon Digital SLR Cameras
uses
SDHC memory cards.
I've been using a set of Sandisk Ultra II 2GB SD cards since 2006 without a
single problem. I recommend the Extreme's because they
are much faster than the Ultra's.
Another good idea is to have at least one extra battery - this camera uses the
Canon LP-E6 Battery Pack
